Defective
Products
Cobble Law Firm helps clients get the best possible
settlement through professional and aggressive representation of clients who
have been injured by products that malfunction or that were defective in their
design.
Elder
Law & Asset Protection
A large percentage of our practice is dedicated to
meeting the needs of the elderly; especially in the areas of estate planning,
wills, trusts, living wills and powers of attorney.
When circumstances require it, we can travel to your
home, the hospital, or other locations to assist you in matters requiring
immediate attention. If you are home-bound or bed-ridden, the firm will
make special arrangements to accommodate your specific need. We endeavor
to meet client's needs on the client's own terms, and strive to make the
elderly comfortable when discussing very personal, often difficult, private
matters.
Our firm provides counsel for medical/long-term health
care and Social Security problems for the elderly. We also assist families in
establishing conservatorships and guardianships. Other practice areas are
taxation laws related to the elderly and the discrimination, neglect, and abuse
of the elderly.
Estate
& Trust Planning
Cobble Law Firm guides clients through the often
confusing maze of the estate planning process. We start by listening to
client's wishes, and providing answers to their questions and concerns. We also
advise them on tax laws that would affect estate distribution. Drafting wills,
powers-of-attorney, living wills, and trusts are a regular function of our
office. The firm also provides help and guidance through the probate process.
Probate
Probate
is the legal process of administering the estate of a deceased person in order
to insure that their property is distributed to the right people. Probate
usually involves several steps: collecting the decedent’s assets,
liquidating debts, paying any taxes that may be due, distributing property to
heirs, and otherwise settling up the affairs of the deceased person.
Real
Estate Law
Cobble Law Firm represents commercial and residential
clients in transactions involving real estate: closings, title examinations,
title insurance, sales/lease agreements, document recording, preparation of
deeds of trust, promissory notes, amortization schedules and deeds. The firm is
a registered title agent of the Chicago Title Insurance Co., one of the
country's oldest and most respected title companies.
