Mr. Cobble handles a variety of transactional matters, with his transactional practice focusing primarily on real estate, asset protection (estate planning, wills, trusts, etc.), and business/corporate formation, dissolution, and other such matters.
His trial work includes litigation in both state and federal courts in both jury and non-jury settings. His trial practice focuses primarily on state court issues which affect everyday citizens. He has argued cases on appeal before a variety of appellate courts, including arguing cases that have traveled all the way to the state supreme court. In 2018, one of his cases was selected to be argued as a Tennessee SCALES (Supreme Court Advancing Legal Education for Students) case, and the argument was held before the Tennessee Supreme Court at Chattanooga State Community College in front of a public audience of students, faculty, and administrators. The case involved a failure of an employer to use an AED in the workplace, and the decision in this case was a case of first impression in the state of Tennessee.
The law firm does not practice in the following fields: criminal law; domestic law (except for adoptions, which he handles); bankruptcy law; income tax law; social security disability; workers’ compensation, and a few other minor areas of federal law.
